We are transporting a 7.5 m high coagulator on land and water!

“AST” Group got a task to organize the delivery of a sulphur vapour coagulator (11.0*7.2*7.5 m) weighing 70 tons from the “Atommash” plant in Volgodonsk to the Astrakhan Gas Processing Plant. Due to the rather high cargo height, the only possible delivery option appeared to be a combination of land and water transport.

To transport the cargo, we conducted a survey of all the bridges, overpasses, and power lines on our way. After that, our team developed a traffic management project and received special permits to travel on public roads.
Also, to cross the Don and Volga rivers, we chartered a barge that went from a special dock in Volgodonsk to Buzan port in Astrakhan, and developed a crane work project for the cargo transshipment from the barge to a semi-trailer.

Throughout the whole land route, the road train was accompanied by cover vehicles and traffic police crews, who ensured safety by blocking the oncoming traffic.

As a result, “AST” Group successfully and carefully delivered the sulphur vapour coagulator to the recipient plant, having completed another mission, significant for the entire team.
