TRANSPORTATION OF THE ROTRAC NN 3588 ROAD-RAIL SHUNTING LOCOMOBILE
Recently, “AST Plus” transported the ROTRAC NN 3588 road-rail shunting locomobile. However, the name «locomobile» is not quite correct — it is a classic steam locomotive designed for roads, not for rails.
In Germany, such a vehicle is called «zweiweg» — «double track» or «double stroke». This name is more accurate, because the main difference between such machines is the ability to have this very «double stroke», on the road and on the rail track.
