CAT 772G TRANSPORTATION HAS BECOME MORE PROFITABLE IN PARTS!
Previously, we carried out the transportation of a CAT 772G dump truck weighing 37 tons assembled, while the weight of the road train exceeded 55 tons.
On February 1, 2020, Decree No. 67 of the Government of the Russian Federation came into force: the 15% coefficient of a road train permissible mass exceeding was increased from 0.2 to 0.4. The cost of paying damages increased.
For our customer, the CAT 772G dump truck transportation must meet the following requirements:
- Transportation support with official documents
- The most favourable cost of transportation
We made calculations and offered the client the best option on the route St. Petersburg – Lipetsk: the quarry dump truck transportation in disassembled state, on 2 cars. It turned out that this option is 10% more profitable than transporting a dump truck assembly by one car.
On the first car, we placed the body and 1 wheel of the dump truck, on the second — the base of the dump truck in the remaining configuration.
The weight of the dump truck base without wheels and body was 25.5 tons, which made it possible to obtain the mass of the road train within the permissible value — 44.0 tons. The weight of the second road train was 29.0 tons.
Thus, we avoided paying damages to highways and helped the customer reduce the costs.
